Biography


Nemanja Maček is a senior lecturer at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering in Belgrade (Academy of Technical and Art Applied Studies) and the full professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences in Belgrade (University Business Academy in Novi Sad). He also works, as a contractor, for the SECIT Security Consulting, Serbia, dealing with information security consulting, and last, but not least, as a senior AI researcher for BEEP (he does not provide this information in his CVs for reasons that are obvious to him). He previously worked, as a contractor, at the Faculty of Computer Sciences and Faculty of Engineering Management. Reviewer in several journals (M20 category, according to Serbian scientific journal categorization), international conference proceedings (M30) and relevant book chapters. He has (co)authored several books and official textbooks and a couple peer-reviewed scientific publications in international journals and conference proceedings.

Nemanja graduated from University of Novi Sad in 2006 and received Advanced Security Systems PhD from Singidunum University, Belgrade in 2013.

The research of Prof. Maček involves machine learning, pattern recognition and natural language processing applied to information security, as well as biometric systems, cryptology and designing novel security mechanisms.
