Biography

Nemanja Maček is a senior lecturer at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering in Belgrade and the full professor at the University Business Academy in Novi Sad. He also works (as a contractor) for SECIT Security Consulting, Serbia, dealing with information security consulting, and last, but not least, as an AI researcher for encrypted with zillion bit key-length, residing at beep. He previously worked (as a contractor) at the Faculty of Computer Sciences and Faculty of Engineering Management.

Nemanja graduated from University of Novi Sad in 2006 and received Advanced Security Systems PhD from Singidunum University, Belgrade in 2013.

Reviewer in several journals (M20 category, according to Serbian SCI journals categorization), international conference proceedings (M30) and relevant book chapters. He has (co)authored several books and official textbooks and a hack of mumbo-jumbo peer-reviewed scientific publications in international journals and conference proceedings.

The research of Prof. Maček involves machine learning, pattern recognition and natural language processing applied to information security, as well as biometric systems, cryptology and designing novel security mechanisms.

Finally, he is a passionate cat (feline) lover and a lousy guitar and piano player.
